This Week's TarotScope 2/24 - 3/2 2025
Having a nice cup of English Rose tea as I work on this week's post. It's one of the last bags of tea I brought with me from my old home when I got divorced. The divorce has been on my mind a lot this week, along with other things. Adulting is hard, but it's good remember the simple things. Check out what's in the laboratory for this week:

XXXI Saccharum Sugar
Life gets tough and sometimes we need to be reminded of the simple pleasures. What comforts you from your childhood? For me it was the simple enjoyment of a cup of tea with sugar and milk. When I was very young and wasn’t feeling well, my mother or grandmother would always bring in a cup of hot tea to make me feel better. It was usually Lipton’s, but as I got older Earl Grey became a favorite. Having a cup of hot tea always made me feel “grown up” and it was one of those sweet comforts, especially as I entered my middle school years, to enjoy a cup in the evening with my mom. I can barely remember when I was old enough to put on the kettle and pour my own tea without making a mess or burning myself, but making tea was one of the first things I was allowed to do on my own in the kitchen, literally the first thing I learned how to ‘cook.’ I have to watch the sugars in my diet now, but I indulge now and then. Not so much white sugar, but raw honey goes in my tea, and sometimes my coffee! Raw honey is simple, natural, and sweet without all of the processing of table sugar. This week, you have sugar in your laboratory to work with. How will you use this material, this sacred Alchemical elixir? Use it to add joy and wonderment to life. Remember the simple comforts of a child.

Monday-Tuesday: The Empress
Nurture yourself for the beginning of the week. Focus on what you are creating and attracting in your life. The Empress has the energy of birth, a process that can be painful, but oh so worth it once done. What are you bringing into your reality, what are you giving birth to this week? Remember the Sugar and take the edge off the process.
Wednesday-Thursday: Death
Change. It’s not always easy and it’s not surprising to come on the heels of what you are ready to bring into your reality with the Empress. Something often dies in order for something else to be born. The door behind you closes forever, you can only move forward now. There’s no going back. Ready or not.
Friday-The Weekend; 5 of Cups
By the weekend, you still may be feeling the grief of the Death card. Change isn’t always easy. Do you still have sugar on the table? Can you use it to take the edge off grief? You can. Bring in love, laughter, joy, and sweet memories. Take your simple pleasures where you can and move on.
What Does It All Mean for You?
Give yourself some time to reflect and remember the sweet things in life. You will be met with some challenges and change and it's good to remember that a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down. Be good to yourself this week. Though there are big changes afoot, they are good changes.
